Christopher Flinchum

Christopher Flinchum is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Stage and Screen at Western Carolina University's David Orr Belcher College of Fine and Performing Arts. With over 12 years of senior management experience in theatre production, he previously served as Production Manager for Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. He managed budgets, production design, and staffing across 40+ productions. Prior roles include Director of Production at Cleveland Opera and AEA stage manager for 50+ productions with companies like The Acting Company and Lincoln Center Institute.

Education: BFA in Theatre from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Teaching focuses include stage management (THEA 270/486), production management, and introductory theatre courses (THEA 104). He also taught at Kent State University for three years. His expertise spans collaborative production models, arts administration, and practical theatre education.
