Christopher Etheridge

Christopher Etheridge is an Assistant Professor at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of Kansas (since 2020). His research examines media representations of crime, community storytelling practices, and digital technology adoption in rural regions.

Key research areas include: information-seeking behaviors of community groups, media-audience relationships, and rural news ecosystems. His work explores how news organizations address localized information needs through digital transformation.
