Dr. Christopher Decker is a Professor of Economics at the University of Nebraska Omaha's College of Business Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business (2000). His teaching focuses on Microeconomics, Business Economics, Economic Forecasting, and Natural Resource Economics. His research emphasizes Environmental Economics, Regional Economics, and Applied Microeconomics, with publications in journals like Economic Inquiry, Journal of Law and Economics, and Ecological Economics.
Dr. Decker has conducted extensive economic impact studies using IMPLAN, including analyses of Nebraska's aviation industry, the Nebraska Business Development Center, and immigrant population impacts. Prior to academia, he worked in economic forecasting at DRI/McGraw-Hill and FW Dodge/McGraw-Hill (1990–1995). He is available for sustainability-related consultations.
