Christopher D Morris

Christopher D Morris is an Honorary Professorial Research Fellow at the School of Humanities, University of Glasgow. His work focuses on Norse and Viking Age archaeology, particularly in Orkney and Caithness. He has led major projects such as the Birsay Bay Project and contributed to excavations at Freswick Links. Morris has edited key volumes on Viking-age studies, including proceedings from international congresses.

His research interests integrate historical excavation, settlement analysis, and cultural heritage in Northern Scotland. Morris has authored/co-authored three major publications since 1993, emphasizing long-term Norse settlement patterns and interdisciplinary approaches to Viking-age studies.
