Christopher Corcoran

Christopher Corcoran serves as Department Head of Data Analytics and Information Systems and inaugural David B. Haight Endowed Professor of Analytics at Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, where he founded the Analytics Solutions Center and previously led the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

His academic credentials include:

• PhD in Biostatistics, Harvard University (1999)
• BS in Statistics with Computer Science emphasis, Utah State University (1995)

Dr. Corcoran specializes in statistical-computational methods for rare/sparse biomedical outcomes, with significant contributions to Alzheimer's, cancer, autism, birth defects, cognitive aging, and genetic epidemiology research. His work bridges traditional biostatistics with modern data science, machine learning, and AI applications in health analytics.

His research collaborations have secured over $25 million in funding and produced 100+ peer-reviewed publications. He has developed accelerated academic programs in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Web Development, and Cybersecurity, providing hands-on training in Python, cloud computing, machine learning, and enterprise security.

Outside academia, he enjoys family time, Aggie athletics, trail running, and hiking throughout the western United States.
