Christopher Clark is an Instructor in the Department of Music at Case Western Reserve University's College of Arts and Sciences and serves as Director of Choirs. He previously directed vocal music at Southern Berkshire Regional School District and held roles as Music Director at Grace Church and conductor for the Albany Gay Men’s Chorus. Clark earned a PhD in Music Education from The Hartt School and holds master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University, along with a bachelor’s from Cleveland State University.
His research focuses on improvisation in choral education, the impact of teacher religiosity on music selection, and social justice in choral performance. He actively contributes to Voices 21C, a Boston-based ensemble emphasizing marginalized voices and cultural bridges through music. Clark has presented at international conferences such as ISME and ACDA, and his work has been featured in The Choral Journal.
