Christopher A. Baker is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale School of Medicine, part of Yale University. His research focuses on understanding neural circuitry, ion channel physiology, and neuroimmune interactions in health and disease. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Yale University (2002) and a BS in Psychology from Bowling Green State University (1994). Dr. Baker's work combines optogenetic tools, live-cell imaging, and molecular biology to investigate mechanisms underlying pain, neurodegeneration, and long-term viral effects on the nervous system.
