Christoph Hengartner

Christoph Hengartner, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Barry University. He earned his doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Princeton University's Molecular Biology Department.

• Post-Doctoral Research: Pseudorabies virus gene expression in epithelial and neuronal cells at Princeton University

Dr. Hengartner's research focuses on molecular biology and virology, particularly the regulation of transcription mechanisms in yeast RNA polymerase II holoenzyme and gene expression patterns of veterinary herpes viruses like pseudorabies virus (PRV) in different cell types. His work has implications for understanding transcriptional control and viral pathogenesis.
