Christine Won, MD, MSc, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine section at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Medical Director of the Yale Centers for Sleep Medicine and Director of the Women's Sleep Health Program. Her expertise includes complex sleep-disordered breathing and sex differences in sleep disorders, with a focus on women's sleep health. Dr. Won received her BA from Stanford University, MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and fellowships in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Stanford University.
Her research interests span sleep apnea, sleep telemedicine, and clinical guidelines for OSA management, particularly in pregnancy. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, including the 2024 consensus statement on OSA in pregnancy. Dr. Won is also Section Editor for Principles and Practices of Sleep Medicine and has contributed to telemedicine advancements in sleep care.
She has been recognized as a 'Best Doctor' in Connecticut and nationally, and her leadership roles include President-Elect of the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine. Her clinical practice integrates innovative approaches to address sleep disorders in women and high-risk populations.
