Christine Wade is a Professor of Political Science and International Studies at Washington College, where she chairs the Department of Political Science and serves as the Louis L. Goldstein Chair in Public Affairs. She directs the Latin American Studies Program and advises on the Peace and Conflict Studies and Latin American Studies minors.

Her research focuses on Latin American politics, particularly Central America and the Caribbean. She has conducted extensive fieldwork in El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, examining topics like peacebuilding, post-war politics, migration, and U.S.-Latin American relations. Her work includes analyzing elite power structures and their impact on democratic institutions.

Dr. Wade has contributed to publications like World Politics Review and Latin American Advisor, and teaches courses on peace theories, revolutions, human rights, and U.S.-Latin American relations. She advises capstone projects on themes of violence, corruption, and democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean.
