Christine Mok

Christine Mok is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Her work focuses on race and representation in Asian American literature, performance, and visual culture. She holds a Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies from Brown University, an MFA in Dramaturgy from Yale School of Drama, and an A.B. in English and Theatre from Dartmouth College.

Her research explores intermediality and theatricality in Asian American performance, interrogating inauthenticity's political and poetic dimensions. Previously, she served as managing editor of Theater magazine. Current projects include a book manuscript analyzing contemporary performance through these lenses.
