Christina Yuen Zi Chung

Christina Yuen Zi Chung is a Part-time Lecturer in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies at the University of Washington. Her academic work bridges feminist theory, art history, and decolonial frameworks with a focus on Sinophone and transnational studies.

Her research analyzes gendered and decolonial dimensions in contemporary art, particularly within Hong Kong and China's Belt and Road Initiative. She explores intersections of visual culture, transnational feminism, and postcolonial critique.

Chung's 2021 article with Sasha Su-Ling Welland on 'Wandering Geographies' highlights her focus on aesthetic practices shaped by geopolitical power dynamics.
