Dr Christina Sevdali is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Communication and Media, Ulster University. Her academic career spans theoretical and applied linguistics with a focus on Greek syntax, case systems, and multilingualism.
- Education: BA in Greek Philology (University of Crete, 2000), MPhil in Theoretical Linguistics (University of Cambridge, 2002), PhD in Linguistics (University of Cambridge, 2007)
Her research explores synchronic and diachronic syntax, particularly Greek linguistics, with emphasis on finiteness, control theory, case systems, and multilingualism. Recent work includes the Language Made Fun project for refugee children and the DiGreC treebank for case diachrony studies.
