Christina Raasch serves as Associate Professor of Digital Economy at Kühne Logistics University and holds dual research appointments as Senior Researcher in the Research Group "Innovation and International Competition" at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IFW Kiel) and Fellow at the Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG), an interdisciplinary research hub analyzing global value chains since 2016.
Her research centers on Innovation by Individuals and Firms, examining how digitalization transforms innovation processes and value dynamics within industry ecosystems. She investigates Value Creation and Value Capture mechanisms in complex business networks, with particular focus on digital economy implications for competitive strategy and organizational design. Her work integrates management science, economics, and innovation theory to address contemporary challenges in globalized markets.
At KCG, she contributes to interdisciplinary analyses of global value chains from economic, management, and ethical perspectives, collaborating with five senior fellows who joined the center in June 2020.
