Christian Werthmann

Prof. Christian Werthmann is a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape at Leibniz University Hannover. He leads the Institute of Landscape Architecture and oversees interdisciplinary initiatives like the EULiST alliance, focusing on sustainable urban development and disaster resilience. His research addresses informal settlements, landslide risk mitigation, and community-based interventions, with a geographic focus on regions like Medellín (Colombia) and post-disaster contexts (e.g., Haiti, São Paulo).
