Christian Van Buskirk

Christian Van Buskirk is an Associate Teaching Professor at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria. With over 25 years of industry experience in private and public sectors, he specializes in customer experience management, regenerative tourism, and sustainable business practices. He holds credentials including a BCom from Thompson Rivers University, an MBA in Entrepreneurship from UVic, and certifications in education (CACE, PIDP).

His research focuses on observational marketing research, destination marketing, and sustainable tourism education. He actively contributes to global initiatives like the LEGO Foundation-funded PRME project, developing teaching materials for responsible management education. Courses taught span undergraduate to MBA programs, including Marketing Management, Customer Experience Management, and Tourism Entrepreneurship.
