Professor Christian Sanders is a marine biogeochemist at the National Marine Science Centre, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Southern Cross University. His research utilizes uranium and thorium series radionuclides to trace coastal processes, with a focus on sedimentation rates and carbon and nutrient cycling in coastal wetlands.
His educational background includes a BSc from the University of Central Florida, and an MGeosc and PhD from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
