Christian Meyer

Prof. Dr. Christian Meyer holds the Chair of Chinese Culture and History with a focus on Religions at Freie Universität Berlin (Heisenberg Professorship). He leads research projects on Chinese religious history and modernity, including DFG-funded studies on religious terminology evolution (1890–1949). His work bridges pre-modern ritual discourses and contemporary religious policy analysis.
