Christian Djeffal is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor for Law, Science, and Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology. His research focuses on the intersection of law and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), emphasizing regulatory design, digital governance, and participatory technology development. He previously led the 'Global Constitutionalism and the Internet' research area at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and holds a PhD in International Law from Humboldt University.
Education: Studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and University College London (UCL), with research stays at institutions including the Amsterdam Center for International Law and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Zurich’s Institute for Technology, Society, and Law in 2019.
