Christian Campbell is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Toronto, representing The Bahamas at the Poetry Parnassus during the 2012 Olympic Games Cultural Olympiad. A Bahamian and Trinidadian heritage writer, he has taught and researched Caribbean literature, black diaspora cultures, post-colonial theory, and creative writing.

He was shortlisted for the 2010 Forward Poetry Prize and won the 2010 Aldeburgh First Collection prize for his poetry collection Running the Dusk. Campbell holds a PhD from Duke University and studied at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.
