Christel Rome

Christel Rome is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of French Studies at the University of Sydney, part of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She holds a DEA from Aix-en-Provence, a Maîtrise and Licence from Montpellier, and completed Hypokhâgne/Khâgne studies. Her career includes teaching French in Bulgaria, researching Suggestopedia (a Bulgarian pedagogical method for accelerated language learning), and organizing cultural events like poetry recitals. Since 2004, she has coordinated advanced French language courses at the University of Sydney and co-organizes the annual French poetry contest. She currently serves as the International Exchange Coordinator for her department.
