Dr. Christabel Tan is an Associate Professor in the Research Department of Engineering and Technology at the University of Hertfordshire, affiliated with the School of Physics, Engineering & Computer Science and the Wolfson Centre for Biodetection and Instrumentation. She holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering (2000), MPhil in Electrical Engineering (2002), and PhD in Microfluidic Systems (2006) from UMIST. Her expertise spans microsystems engineering, microfabrication, and MEMS, with a focus on biomedical applications. She is Deputy Head of Engineering, managing microdevice development and fabrication.
