Christa Markom

Christa Markom is Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of Studies at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, University of Vienna. She coordinates the Erasmus+ project DIGITclue at University of Vienna and teaches at multiple institutions including the Vienna University of Education.

Her research examines racism in educational materials, migration discourses, and diversity politics. Notable publications analyze racial representations in Austrian textbooks and critical approaches to multiculturalism. She develops anti-racism teaching resources and conducts organizational anthropology consulting.
