Chris Wood

Dr. Chris Wood is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of York. His research focuses on differential geometry and global analysis, particularly harmonic maps, morphisms, sections, symmetry reduction techniques, and geometric structures on manifolds. He holds a BSc from the University of London, an MSc, and a PhD from the University of Warwick.

Dr. Wood’s academic contributions include organizing events such as the Yorkshire Durham Geometry Day 2014 and hosting prominent visitors like Mario Micallef and Andrew Dancer. He is affiliated with the Geometry and Analysis Research Group at York and maintains an active research profile with 18 publications and multiple collaborative projects.
