Chris West is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics at Carleton College's Department of Physics and Astronomy, joining in Fall 2023. His research focuses on astrophysical nucleosynthetic processes, stellar evolution, galactic chemical evolution, and quantum mechanics, combining theoretical models with computational simulations to study isotope formation from the Big Bang. He is committed to improving educational outcomes for underrepresented students in physics.
