Chris Rudd is a Visiting Clinical Professor at the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a designer, community organizer, and youth worker focused on social justice. His work bridges youth engagement, technology, and activism, including developing civic apps such as Expunge.io to support legal aid for young people. Rudd founded ChiByDesign, a human-centered design firm led by people of color, which empowers communities through creative solutions.
Professional activities include directing the Juvenile Justice Council at Mikva Challenge and serving as a Civic Innovation Fellow at Stanford’s Institute of Design. His expertise spans human-centered design methodologies and creating pathways for marginalized youth in the tech sector.
