Chris Rhomberg is Professor of Sociology at Fordham University (Rose Hill campus), specializing in urban/political sociology, labor movements, and race/ethnicity. His office is located in Dealy Hall 402A. Rhomberg earned a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.A. from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley (1998).
His research examines urban political communities, labor relations, and racial dynamics, with methodological expertise in historical analysis and narrative sociology. Current projects include studies of cultural industries, urban labor markets, and emerging forms of worker mobilization.
Rhomberg's publications consistently explore themes of labor struggles, racial inequality, and urban political economy. His books and articles frequently employ historical-comparative methods to analyze institutional change and social movements.
