Chris Rabban

Chris Rabban serves as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Sunderland, teaching across the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and BSc (Hons) Sport and Rehabilitation Therapy programs. A Chartered Physiotherapist with extensive clinical background in National Health Service (NHS) settings, he specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and brings practical expertise from acute hospital trusts, professional sports environments, and private practice directly into his academic role.

His clinical focus centers on advanced management of ACL injuries and the development of evidence-based rehabilitation pathways. Through his teaching, Rabban integrates real-world case experience with theoretical frameworks, particularly emphasising injury-specific rehabilitation protocols and musculoskeletal assessment techniques. His transition from clinical practice to academia reflects a commitment to advancing physiotherapy education through practical application.
