Chris Petty

Chris Petty is a percussionist, drummer, and educator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He serves as an adjunct faculty member at both Snow College and Utah Valley University, where he teaches music history, percussion lessons, and music production.

• Education: Associate Degree in Jazz Drum-Set and Percussion from Snow College (2012), Bachelor of Electronic Production and Design with a minor in Effortless Mastery from Berklee College of Music (2019), and Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Utah (2022).
• Research and Teaching Focus: Percussion techniques, jazz composition, electronic music production, and music history.

His career spans international performance with corporate bands, production work, and academic instruction. At Berklee, he studied under renowned artists like Kenwood Dennard, Jerry Leake, and Richard Boulanger.
