Chris Lebens

Chris Lebens is an Assistant Professor (Career Track) in the Department of Sport Management at Washington State University (Pullman campus). He teaches courses such as SpMgt 377 (Legal Aspects of Sport), SpMgt 489 (Sport Event Management), and SpMgt 577 (Law and Risk Management in Sport for the graduate program). His research focuses on legal aspects in sport, including risk management, constitutional law, and contract law.

Education: Bachelor’s in Radio/TV/Digital Media Production from the University of Idaho; Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho; Master’s in Sport Management from WSU.

Experience: Over 8 years in Division I college athletics administration, 10+ years in large-scale event planning and management, and active community volunteer involvement.
