Dr. Chris Hudson is a Senior Research Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University's Sports Engineering Research Centre, specializing in software development for Olympic and Paralympic sports. He works on the EIS Innovation Partnership project, developing systems to monitor elite athletes' training and performance using hardware interfaces like machine vision cameras and force platforms. Prior to academia, he worked as a software developer and holds degrees in Computer Science from York and Leeds Universities. His research focuses on novel photogrammetry techniques and sports data analysis.
Education: BSc and MSc in Computer Science (York and Leeds Universities), PhD in automated swimmer speed analysis via video processing. Research interests include sports engineering, performance analysis, and elite sport technologies.
