Chris Hankin is a Professor of Computing Science at Imperial College London and a Fellow of the Institute for Security Science and Technology. He previously served as Deputy Principal of the Faculty of Engineering (2006-2008), Pro Rector for Research (2004-2006), and Dean of City and Guilds College (2000-2003).
His research focuses on cyber security, data analytics, and semantics-based program analysis. He leads multidisciplinary projects developing advanced visual analytics for cyber defense decision support and directs the NCSC/EPSRC Research Institute in Trustworthy Inter-connected Cyber-Physical Systems (RITICS).
He chairs the Government Office of Science's Policy Futures Foresight report on Future Identities and serves as immediate past chair of the ACM Europe Council while sitting on the ACM Publications Board.
