Chris Greer

Professor Chris Greer is Pro-Vice-Chancellor Research and Professor of Sociology at the University of Essex. His research examines institutional power dynamics, particularly when misused, focusing on trial by media, institutional scandal, and serious youth violence responses.

Professor Greer co-founded the journal Crime Media Culture and serves on editorial boards including the Journal of Communication.
