Chris Finberg

Chris Finberg serves as an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering within Texas A&M University's College of Engineering. He concurrently holds the position of Innovation Director for the Precise Advanced Technologies and Health Systems for Underserved Populations (PATHS-UP), a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center dedicated to developing health technologies for vulnerable communities.

His educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota (1994). Dr. Finberg's research expertise centers on regulated medical devices, with deep specialization in Class II Diagnostic and Point of Care systems alongside Class III long-term implantable technologies. His work specifically targets Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRMs) and Neuromodulation applications, emphasizing practical solutions for healthcare disparities through the PATHS-UP initiative.

The PATHS-UP Engineering Research Center operates under his innovation leadership, focusing on translating engineering research into accessible health technologies for underserved populations.
