Chris Drakeley is a Professor of Infection and Immunity at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), specializing in malaria epidemiology and transmission control. He leads major global initiatives funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others, focusing on malaria elimination strategies, drug efficacy, and surveillance systems in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. His work spans zoonotic malaria (P. knowlesi), serological assay development for P. vivax, and evaluating intervention impacts via randomized controlled trials.
