Chris Davis

Dr. Chris Davis is a Professor of English and Chair of the Department of English Language & Literature at Gardner-Webb University. His scholarly interests include Creative Writing, Professional Writing, 20th Century American Literature, and Southern Literature. He is actively involved in academic leadership and contributes to the university’s mission of fostering Christian values in education.

Dr. Davis oversees the department’s academic programs and supports student development through mentorship and curricular initiatives. His role as Chair involves administrative oversight, faculty collaboration, and strategic planning for the department’s academic and operational goals.
