Chris Burdett is an Associate Professor and Special Assistant to the Dean in the College of Humanities and Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), within the Department of Political Science.

His work critically examines the evolution of 'Normative Power Europe,' strategic dynamics in Sino-European relations, and transatlantic security cooperation. He also explores foundational aspects of European integration, EU institutional policymaking, and socio-political transformations in modern Europe, with cross-cutting research on identity formation, educational paradigms, and foreign policy decision-making in international politics.
