Dr Chris Bailey is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the Sheffield Institute of Education (College of Social Sciences and Arts, Sheffield Hallam University). He holds a BA (Hons), MA, PGCE, and PhD. His teaching focuses on Education Studies, Autism, Disability, and Special Educational Needs. Research interests include neurodivergent lived experiences, multimodal literacies, and virtual play environments, often employing creative methodologies like comics and soundscapes. He leads the UKLA-funded 'Ruling Passions' project exploring autistic adults' interests. Awards include the 2017 Wiley/UKLA Research Award and 2018 UKLA Student Award.
