Chloe Tait is a Researcher at the University of Surrey's School of Veterinary Medicine, working on the ALBORADA Well Foal Study II under Professor Christopher Proudman. She is part of the Horse Microbiome Research Group, focusing on understanding early life horse gut microbiome development. Previously, she served as a Laboratory Technician in the School's teaching labs from October 2022 to November 2024, managing practical sessions and laboratory maintenance.
Chloe holds a First Class Honors BSc in Equine Sports Science (2021) and a Distinction in MRes Equine Health and Welfare (2022), both from Nottingham Trent University. Her research interests span equine health, veterinary medicine, microbiology, and animal welfare, with a focus on applying scientific insights to improve equine health outcomes.
Her current role involves advancing knowledge on foal gut microbiome origins and developmental health. She collaborates with academic and industry partners to translate findings into practical applications for equine welfare and health management.
