Dr. Chloé Arson is Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech, specializing in geomechanics, damage modeling, and bio-inspired engineering. Her lab develops computational tools for underground storage, fracture propagation, and subsurface exploration.
Current projects include NSF-funded research on thermo-hydro-chemo-mechanical processes in rocks and bio-inspired burrowing robots. She chairs the ASCE Poromechanics Committee and develops AI-enhanced models for geological systems.
Honors include NSF CAREER and BRITE awards. Dr. Arson teaches mechanics courses and created innovative programs for international research internships and diversity initiatives.
