Chitvan Trivedi

Chitvan Trivedi is a Collegiate Associate Professor at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business and serves as Interim Associate Director of the Executive Ph.D. Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Ecology from UC Irvine, an MBA in Marketing, and advanced degrees in Computer Networks and Dairy Technology. His research focuses on social entrepreneurship's role in societal change, systems thinking, and collaborative processes in addressing complex challenges. He integrates social-ecological perspectives with community-based interventions.

Education spans diverse fields: B.Tech in Dairy Technology (Gujarat Agricultural University), M.S. in Computer Networks (Middlesex University, London), MBA (Som-Lalit Institute), and Ph.D. in Social Ecology (UC Irvine).

Teaching interests include social entrepreneurship, organization theory, research methods, and strategic change. His work emphasizes transdisciplinary approaches, bridging theory with practice. Recent publications explore equity in social entrepreneurship, collaborative frameworks for collective impact, and dialogue-driven social innovation.

Trivedi has advised on transdisciplinary team communication (as co-editor of Communication in Transdisciplinary Teams), and his research spans social determinants of health, organizational design, and postmodern paradigms in research.
