Dr. Chitra Rangan is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Windsor and serves as the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. She holds cross-appointments in Chemistry and Biochemistry (2008–2011) and has been a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Michigan (2006–present). Her research focuses on quantum control, nanoplasmonics, and light-matter interactions, with applications in clinical diagnostics and quantum computing. She leads the BiopSys NSERC Strategic Network and contributes to Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS).
