Prof. Chirantan Chatterjee is a Professor of Development Economics, Innovation, and Global Health at the University of Sussex Business School's Department of Economics. He holds visiting positions at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Germany) and Ahmedabad University (India). His research focuses on pharmaceutical economics, global health, technological change, and development economics, with publications in top-tier journals like Management Science and The RAND Journal of Economics.
Education: PhD & MPhil in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, MBA from IIM Calcutta, and B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
Research Interests: Development Economics, Technological Change, Pharmaceutical Markets, Global Health Policy, Innovation Policy, and Health Economics.
