Ching-Hsun Huang

Ching-Hsun Huang is a Professor in the Department of Sustainable Biomaterials at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University's College of Natural Resources and Environment. She joined the department in January 2020 as Department Head, bringing expertise in natural resource economics and forest management.

Her research focuses on:

• Economic valuation of forest fuels-reduction treatments

• Energy externality assessment
• Wildfire suppression strategies

Previously, she taught forest economics and management at Northern Arizona University from 2007 to 2019.
