Ching Chou

Ching Chou is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University at Buffalo. He holds a PhD from the University of Rochester. His research focuses on functional analysis and invariant means, with notable contributions to operator theory, harmonic analysis, and group theory. His work often explores weakly almost periodic functions, ergodic group actions, and the structure of von Neumann algebras.

Ching Chou’s research spans over four decades, with publications addressing topics such as invariant means on operator spaces, approximation of compact operators, and the properties of Fourier-Stieltjes algebras. His articles frequently intertwine functional analysis with algebraic and topological group structures.
