Chima J. Korieh is a Professor in the Department of History at Marquette University, specializing in 19th-20th century West African social and economic history, gender relations, and comparative slavery. He serves as Director of the Biafra War Oral History/Genocide Project and edits the journals Igbo Studies Review and Nigerian Studies Review.
