Chijioke Uba is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at the University of Northampton’s Northampton Business School. He is affiliated with research centers such as the Strategy and International Business Centre for Advanced and Smart Technologies and the Centre for Sustainable Business Practices. His academic career began in 2014, and he has extensive experience in teaching, research, and management consultancy. Uba holds a Master’s from Lund University, a Bachelor’s from Pontificia Università Urbaniana, and a PhD from Royal Holloway University of London.
His research focuses on sustainability, exploring ethical, social, and psychological dimensions of sustainable practices in businesses and individuals. Key projects include the Holistic Mulch Project (2023–2025), the Food Industry Challenge Hub (2022–2026), and consultancy on plastic waste management in Ghana. He has supervised numerous PhD and DBA students, examining topics like SME environmental responsibility and cybersecurity management in Nigeria.
Teaching interests include Social Responsibility of Business, Sustainability Strategy, and Strategic Management. Uba’s work aligns with UN SDGs, particularly in education, sustainability, and responsible consumption. He actively engages in knowledge exchange activities, such as policy blueprint launches in Ghana and the University of Northampton’s 2025 Sustainability Summit.
