Chiara Sotis is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she also earned her PhD in 2023. Her work bridges behavioral, environmental, and health economics, with a focus on experimental and survey-based research to inform public policy.
Her research centers on how individuals process information and form policy preferences, particularly in environmental and social domains. Drawing from behavioral economics, she uses randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and survey methods to study decision-making, cognitive processing, and the drivers of pro-environmental and pro-social behaviors. She is deeply engaged in translating theoretical insights into practical policy design, especially for contemporary societal challenges.
