Dr Chiara Ruzzier is a researcher at the Département d'Histoire, Université de Namur, specializing in manuscript studies and codicology. She earned her PhD in History from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne after completing a degree in Literature at Università de Trieste (Italy).
- Research Focus: Production and use of Latin biblical manuscripts in medieval Western Europe, with emphasis on material aspects and incunabula.
- Current Project: Architecture of Latin pandect Bibles during the Early Middle Ages, analyzing structural evolution and its role in written culture.
- Expertise: Codicology, book history, Latin manuscript miniaturization, and interdisciplinary manuscript analysis.
Publications: Recently published a monograph on 13th-century Latin Bible miniaturization (De Gruyter, 2022), with ongoing contributions to manuscript cultures and materiality studies.
