Chiara Mingarelli

Chiara Mingarelli is Assistant Professor of Astrophysics at Yale University, specializing in gravitational-wave detection through pulsar timing arrays. Her research models cosmic populations of supermassive black hole binaries and their gravitational wave signatures.

Research pioneered anisotropic gravitational-wave background modeling and multi-messenger approaches to black hole mergers. Current NANOGrav collaboration work analyzes nanohertz gravitational waves.

Publications have advanced understanding of SMBH binary populations and their cosmological implications, with recent work on galactic-scale dual black holes.
